Kylian Mbappé delivered a sensational performance, scoring the second-fastest hat-trick in Champions League history as he netted all four goals in Real Madrid’s thrilling 4–3 victory over Olympiakos.

Real Madrid, the current LaLiga leaders, found themselves behind early on after Chiquinho opened the scoring at the Stadio Georgios Karaiskakis. However, Mbappé turned the game on its head with a devastating seven-minute treble, striking in the 22nd, 24th and 29th minutes. His feat places him behind only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who recorded a hat-trick in six minutes and 12 seconds against Rangers in October 2022.

Mbappé later added a fourth goal, sandwiched between fine headers from Mehdi Taremi and Ayoub El Kaabi, ultimately guiding Madrid across the finishing line in a breathless encounter.

Meanwhile, in Madrid, José María Giménez scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner to hand Atletico Madrid a 2–1 victory over Inter Milan, after earlier goals from Julián Álvarez and Piotr Zieliński had the match finely balanced.

Elsewhere, Atalanta produced an impressive second-half surge to earn a commanding 3–0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt, with Ademola Lookman, Ederson and Charles De Ketelaere all scoring within a five-minute spell.

Sporting Lisbon matched that scoreline with a comfortable 3–0 triumph over Club Brugge, courtesy of goals from Geovany Quenda, Luis Suárez and Francisco Trincão.

FC Copenhagen claimed their first win of the campaign after surviving a late comeback to defeat Kairat Almaty 3–2. Goals from Viktor Dadaşon, Jordan Larsson and Robert seemed to have the Danish side cruising, but late strikes from Dastan Satpayev and substitute Olzhas Baibek ensured a tense finish.

Elsewhere, Pafos rescued a point as Mohammed Salisu’s late own goal secured a 2–2 draw at home to Monaco. The visitors had twice taken the lead through Takumi Minamino and Folarin Balogun, either side of David Luiz’s equaliser — a goal that, at 38 years of age, makes the Brazilian the second-oldest scorer in the competition’s history.
