Bayern Munich Extend Serge Gnabry’s Contract

Bayern Munich have begun announcing a series of contract extensions following months of negotiations, with Serge Gnabry becoming the first player to commit his future to the club.

The Bundesliga champions confirmed on Thursday that the German forward has signed a new two-year contract, ending speculation over his future. Gnabry would have been available on a free transfer this summer had he failed to agree fresh terms.

The extension means Gnabry is set to complete a decade at the Allianz Arena by the time the new deal expires. The 30-year-old expressed his satisfaction at continuing his journey in Munich, having remained determined to prove his value to the squad despite uncertainty surrounding his role in recent seasons.

Revival After Uncertain Period

Gnabry’s renewal follows an impressive turnaround over the past 12 months. Bayern had been open to offers for the attacker during the previous two summer transfer windows, but the former Arsenal man made it clear he wanted to remain at the club and fight for his place.

After a largely underwhelming campaign last season, Gnabry has rediscovered his form this term, delivering strong attacking returns during the Hinrunde.
