Following Oasis’s triumphant return with five electrifying homecoming shows at Heaton Park, the band’s promoters, SJM Concerts, have extended a heartfelt thank you to Manchester City Council for their invaluable support. The series of performances, which enthralled hundreds of thousands of fans, further cemented Oasis’s status as a cultural phenomenon and marked a historic chapter in Manchester’s rich musical heritage.

Rob Ballantine, Director of SJM Concerts, expressed his immense satisfaction:
"We were blown away by the incredible support, atmosphere and success of all five homecoming shows by Oasis. They proved they are the most culturally important band in the UK, and those concerts will live in the memories of hundreds of thousands of music fans for years to come."
He emphasised the pivotal role played by Manchester City Council in the success of the events, particularly their promotion of ‘Manchester Live 25’ across the city, which served to heighten anticipation and enthusiasm.
Ensuring the safety and comfort of nearly 350,000 attendees was paramount, and Ballantine commended the seamless cooperation between the council, emergency services, and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). Beyond the official concert area, thousands of fans assembled on what has now affectionately become known as “Gallagher Hill” to soak up the atmosphere. SJM Concerts, with the full support of Oasis, worked closely with the Safety Advisory Group—chaired by the council—to ensure the safety and enjoyment of this spirited crowd.
Liam Gallagher gave a special “shout-out” to “Gallagher Hill” during the final weekend’s shows, with live footage of the crowd broadcast onto the main stage screens. In celebration, commemorative T-shirts featuring “Gallagher Hill” within the Oasis logo were distributed to fans gathered there.
"SJM Concerts and Oasis want to thank the council, the emergency services and all members of the Safety Advisory Team for a first-class delivery of the biggest and most significant music events the city has hosted in many years," Ballantine concluded. “We would also like to acknowledge the incredible atmosphere created by the fans, who seem to have unanimously decided these gigs were the best nights of their lives. It was a privilege to be part of the immense team of people who made these concerts the success they were.”
