Kenan Yildiz netted twice to inspire Juventus to a commanding 4-1 victory over Wydad AC in their Club World Cup Group G encounter on Sunday, held in Philadelphia.
Lorch Scores, but Juventus Prove Too Strong for Wydad AC in Club World Cup Clash

Juventus, who currently top the group standings, took an early lead courtesy of an own goal in the sixth minute, before Yildiz struck in both the 16th and 69th minutes to extend their dominance.
Wydad AC’s Thembinkosi Lorch managed to reduce the deficit in the 25th minute, but the Italian giants maintained control and eventually sealed the win with a late penalty from Dusan Vlahovic.
The match opened with a moment of misfortune for Wydad, as a quick passing exchange between Yildiz and Khephren Thuram resulted in a deflection off Abdelmounaim Boutouil, sending the ball into his own net.
Yildiz then doubled the advantage with a sublime effort, firing a right-footed strike from outside the penalty area into the top-right corner.
Wydad AC responded positively, narrowing the gap when Nordin Amrabat’s incisive through ball found Lorch in stride. With composure, Lorch controlled the pass and delicately chipped the ball over the advancing goalkeeper to bring his side back into contention.
However, Juventus restored their two-goal advantage in the second half. Randal Kolo Muani threaded a clever pass through the Wydad defence, and Yildiz made no mistake, slotting home for his second goal of the match.
The scoring was concluded in stoppage time, after Wydad’s Guilherme Ferreira was brought down in the box. Vlahovic stepped up and calmly converted the penalty in the fourth minute of added time to make it 4-1.
