Fabian Hürzeler has turned down interest from Chelsea and Manchester United to pledge his long-term future to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Born in Houston, Hürzeler spent the majority of his playing career in Germany, although he did not enjoy widespread prominence as a footballer before retiring in 2022. His transition into management began early, having taken on a player-manager role at FC Pipinsreid between 2016 and 2020.

It was during his tenure at FC St. Pauli that he truly rose to prominence, overseeing an impressive period that enhanced his reputation as one of Europe’s most promising young coaches.
