Manchester City survived a thrilling late rally from Fulham to secure a 5–4 victory at Craven Cottage, with Erling Haaland making history as the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals. The win brings City within two points of league leaders Arsenal.

Haaland opened the scoring in the 17th minute, reaching the landmark in just 111 appearances, surpassing Alan Shearer’s 1995 record by 13 games.

City extended their advantage 20 minutes later when Haaland provided a measured assist for Tijjani Reijnders, who calmly lifted the ball over goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

Two minutes before half-time, Phil Foden made it 3–0, controlling a clearance from Leno on the edge of the box and firing a powerful strike into the top corner.

Fulham pulled a goal back in first-half stoppage time as Emile Smith Rowe headed in a precise delivery from Harry Wilson, reducing the deficit to 3–1.

Three minutes after the restart, Foden scored again, finishing at the far post after Haaland’s cross from Jeremy Doku, marking the England midfielder’s fourth goal in two matches.

City then went 5–1 up just six minutes later when Doku’s effort deflected off Sander Berge and looped over Leno.

Fulham fought back through Alex Iwobi in the 57th minute, beating Gianluigi Donnarumma with a composed finish.

The comeback intensified when substitute Samuel Chukwueze netted his first goals for Fulham, scoring twice within six minutes. His second strike left Donnarumma helpless and reduced the deficit to 5–4 with 12 minutes remaining.

Despite relentless pressure from Marco Silva’s side, City held firm. Substitute Josh King appeared to have equalised late on, only for Josko Gvardiol to clear his shot off the line, preserving City’s narrow win.

The dramatic victory moves Manchester City to 28 points, just two behind Premier League leaders Arsenal, as the title race continues to heat up.
