Arsenal will proudly wear the iconic gold Premier League champions badge on their kits next season after securing their first league title in 22 years.
Arsenal to Wear Prestigious Gold Champions Badge After Historic Premier League Triumph
The north London club officially clinched the 2025/26 Premier League crown following Manchester City’s 1-1 draw away to AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.
That result, coupled with Arsenal’s tense 1-0 victory over Burnley a day earlier, handed Mikel Arteta’s side an unassailable lead at the top of the table with only one round of fixtures remaining.
As defending champions, Arsenal will now wear the distinguished gold Premier League sleeve badge across all official kits next season, including home, away, third and goalkeeper strips — a symbol reserved exclusively for the reigning English champions.
The gold badges were first introduced ahead of the 2015/16 campaign and were initially worn by Chelsea following their title-winning season under Jose Mourinho.
Having not lifted the Premier League trophy since the legendary “Invincibles” triumph under Arsène Wenger during the 2003/04 season, this will mark the very first time Arsenal will feature the gold champions emblem on their shirts.
This season, Liverpool wore the gold sleeve badge after winning the 2024/25 Premier League title under Arne Slot.
Arsenal have already begun unveiling celebratory merchandise following confirmation of their historic league success. Supporters can now purchase the club’s newly released Adidas home shirt featuring the gold Premier League badge, alongside special “Champions 26” gold lettering on the reverse.
The club’s new home strip, unveiled last week, pays tribute to Arsenal’s 20-year journey at the Emirates Stadium and is expected to become one of the most sought-after shirts in recent club history.
In addition to replica kits, Arsenal have launched a wide range of commemorative merchandise including champions-themed T-shirts, hoodies, scarves, mugs, flags, hats, keyrings, badges and limited-edition celebratory items.
Despite already ending their lengthy wait for league glory, Arteta’s side still have the opportunity to complete a remarkable double when they face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest on May 30.
