Pop star Pink has strongly denied reports that she has separated from her husband, former professional motocross rider Carey Hart, describing the claims as “fake news”.

The speculation emerged after People magazine published an exclusive report citing an unnamed source under the headline: “Pink Separates from Carey Hart for Second Time After 20 Years of Marriage: Source (Exclusive).”

Instagram Response

Shortly after the article appeared online, the singer addressed the rumours directly in a video posted to her official Instagram account, responding with evident sarcasm.

“I was just alerted to the fact that I'm separated from my husband. I didn't know. Thank you People Magazine. Thank you US Weekly. Thank you for letting me know,” she said. “I was wondering, would you also like to tell our children? My 14-year-old and 9-year-old are also unaware. Or do you want to talk about some real news?”

Following the video, People updated its original report to reflect Pink’s public denial. The publication stated that the singer’s representatives declined to comment, while Hart’s representatives did not respond to requests for clarification.

A representative for Pink later directed The Associated Press to the Instagram video without offering further statement. A spokesperson for People did not immediately respond to an email seeking additional comment.

Wider Context

In her video, Pink — whose birth name is Alecia Moore — also referenced several broader news topics in a tongue-in-cheek manner, including discussions surrounding the Epstein files, the results of the 2026 Olympics, and her recent nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Pink and Hart first met at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia. After an on-and-off relationship, the couple became engaged in 2005 and married in Costa Rica in 2006.

They briefly separated in 2008 before reconciling the following year. The couple share two children: Willow Sage Hart, 14, and Jameson Moon Hart, nine.

Despite renewed speculation, Pink’s public remarks suggest the marriage remains intact, with the singer firmly rejecting claims of a separation.
