Justin Bieber surprised fans on Thursday evening with the sudden announcement of his first full-length studio album in four years, titled Swag. The Grammy Award-winning artist released the 20-track album in the early hours of Friday morning, featuring collaborations with rappers Lil B and Sexyy Red, as well as gospel singer Marvin Winans.
Justin Bieber Reclaims Viral Paparazzi Moments on New Album Swag

Swag comes at a particularly eventful time in Bieber’s life and career. Over recent months, the As Long As You Love Me singer has repeatedly shut down rumours concerning his personal life, and sparked widespread speculation following a series of cryptic public appearances and Instagram posts.
Viral Paparazzi Clips Become Album Material
One of the most talked-about incidents took place last month, when Bieber was caught on camera confronting a paparazzi photographer. In the clip, he told the photographer:
“You’re not getting it. It’s not clocking to you. It’s not clocking to you that I’m standing on business, is it?”
In a separate earlier encounter, the Canadian pop star voiced his frustration more candidly:
“You just want money. Money, money, money, money, money, money. Get out of here, bro. Money. That’s all you want. You don’t care about human beings.”
Both moments have now been creatively reappropriated by Bieber in his latest project. The first clip has been used as part of the social media promotion for Swag, shared by both Justin and his wife, Hailey Bieber. Meanwhile, the second clip is sampled in the intro of the new track “Butterflies”, giving fans a raw and unfiltered insight into the artist’s recent state of mind.
A Family Affair and a Fresh Chapter
Promotional images for Swag, which have appeared on billboards across the globe over the past 24 hours, show Justin and Hailey posing with their 10-month-old son, Jack—marking a rare and intimate glimpse into their family life.
This album is Bieber’s first new material since the release of his 2021 EP Freedom, which came just a month after his previous studio album Justice. Swag also marks his first release since parting ways with long-time manager Scooter Braun, who had worked with the singer since his early teenage years and played a pivotal role in shaping his career.
As Bieber reintroduces himself with Swag, he appears to be embracing both personal growth and public vulnerability—transforming past controversies into bold creative statements.
