British metal pioneers Bring Me The Horizon have unveiled a surprise new album titled ‘Lo-files’, offering fans an unexpected, introspective twist on their expansive discography.
Bring Me The Horizon Release Surprise Album ‘Lo-files’ Featuring Lo-Fi Reinterpretations

The release comes as the Sheffield band prepares to headline Reading and Leeds Festivals this summer, where they are set to take the stage immediately after Limp Bizkit.
Out now on streaming platforms, ‘Lo-files’ features 23 lo-fi reinterpretations of tracks spanning the band’s career — from 2013’s critically acclaimed ‘Sempiternal’ to their most recent 2024 release ‘POST HUMAN: NeX Gen’.
A Sonic Shift into Lo-Fi
In crafting ‘Lo-files’, Bring Me The Horizon have collaborated with some of the most respected figures in the lo-fi music scene, including Casiio, No Spirit, Lophiile, and drxnk, among others.
Lead vocalist Oli Sykes described the album as a collection of “utility music” — designed for moments of quiet reflection, creativity, or calming anxiety.
“The original idea for our ‘go-to’ record was actually something more chill — a record you could put on while studying or zoning out,” Sykes explained.
“It ended up way more chaotic than I originally intended. So I guess this is another attempt at creating something low key. I listen to a lot of lo-fi when I’m working or feeling anxious, so I hope this record can do the same for others.”
‘Lo-files’ marks a striking departure from the band’s heavier sonic roots and adds a new, introspective layer to their diverse catalogue — a testament to Bring Me The Horizon’s continuing willingness to push creative boundaries.
