A Terrorist Attack In Togo Kills Seven Children
An Islamic terrorist group has bombed a town in the Savanes Region of Northern Togo, killing seven children.
The
explosion was reported to have been heard in neighbouring Benin and Burkina
Faso, and had woken up citizens of the region trying to get a lay in
before the day began.
Islamic
extremism has spread from the Middle East along with North and East
Africa to Western and Central Africa, with aid coming from the
Islamic State and al-Qaeda.
To
Togolese Army has been enforcing martial law across the country
following the attack, and is hunting those responsible.
A
spokesman for the Togolese Army stated that: “An investigation is
ongoing to determine the circumstances of this explosion and identify
the perpetrators”.
