The 20-year-old has also been charged with failing to comply with police directives by refusing to provide his personal details.
The club confirmed the incident occurred over the weekend and released a statement addressing the matter:
"Reuben Ginbey has been charged after urinating in public at a music event on Saturday evening and failing to comply with WA Police directions by not giving his personal details," the statement read.
"He will appear in court later this month.
"The club has advised the AFL and, as the matter is now before the courts, will make no further comment at this time."
Ginbey, a top-10 draft pick in 2022, has quickly become one of the Eagles’ most promising young talents, having played 40 AFL games over the past two seasons. He earned an AFL Rising Star nomination during his third career match against Fremantle in Round 3, 2023.
A product of East Perth, Ginbey featured in every game throughout the 2024 season. He remains a pivotal player for new coach Andrew McQualter as the club seeks to rebuild and move forward.
