Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says six members of an alleged “terrorist group” have been killed while planning a bomb attack near Tehran. Iranian security forces have killed six people whom the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) described as members of a “terrorist group” allegedly planning to carry out a bomb attack near the capital, Tehran.
The IRGC said the six suspects were killed during a security operation in Manjilabad, a town located near Tehran.
Iranian authorities said the operation was carried out after security forces identified what they described as preparations for a bombing.

The bodies were recovered from collapsed structures after years of fighting and destruction.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has sharply criticised some American journalists reporting on the war involving Iran.
Hegseth accused some members of the US press of acting in a manner he described as “treasonous” and criticised what he called the conduct of the American media.
His remarks have added to tensions between the Trump administration and sections of the US media over coverage of the conflict.

SAUDI ARABIA WARNS AGAINST THREATS TO ITS SECURITY

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has also said his country will not compromise on its security in the face of attacks attributed to Yemen’s Houthi movement.
