Iran, Pakistan Condemn Gaza Violence, Urge UN Action, Boost Bilateral Ties

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have jointly condemned the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The two leaders issued a strong call to the United Nations Security Council, urging it to take decisive action and intervene in the crisis, while also denouncing Israeli attacks on innocent Palestinian civilians.
“These aggressions once again revealed the necessity of coming up with a regional and global consensus against the unlawful actions of the Zionist regime. The two countries of Iran and Pakistan ask the international bodies—especially the Security Council of the United Nations—to avoid double standards and take up a more active role in preventing the aggressions against the soil and territories of member countries, as well as the spillover of war, encroachment against sovereignty, and the killing of civilians,” Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated.
This marked President Pezeshkian’s first official visit to Pakistan since assuming office. The high-level meeting between the two leaders centered on strengthening cooperation across various sectors, including trade, energy, and regional security.
Officials from both nations view the visit as a significant step toward enhancing economic relations and addressing mutual regional concerns, reflecting a shared commitment to collaboration and solidarity.
