The Sudanese army said it killed dozens of RSF fighters and destroyed 141 combat vehicles during operations across Sudan between June 1 and June 14. It reported major gains in Darfur and Kordofan, including the destruction of vehicles, weapons depots, drone facilities, and a fuel depot in Nyala. The army said its ongoing offensives against the RSF and its allies have caused significant losses and disrupted their operations across multiple fronts.
Dozens of RSF Fighters Killed in Sudan Army Operations, Military Says
The Sudanese army said on Sunday that it has killed dozens of members of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and destroyed 141 combat vehicles during a series of military operations carried out across different parts of the country throughout the month.
In a statement released on the social media platform X, the army said its forces, working together with allied units, have continued sustained military operations against the RSF and what it described as its mercenary allies across multiple fronts. The military noted that the operations, which took place between June 1 and June 14, resulted in what it described as “significant losses” for the RSF, including the destruction of armoured combat vehicles, weapons depots, and large quantities of military supplies.
In the Darfur region, the army said its troops destroyed 29 RSF combat vehicles and killed dozens of fighters during clashes. It also claimed that an RSF drone was intercepted and shot down. According to the statement, further operations were carried out in the city of Nyala, where several key facilities were destroyed. These included two ammunition depots, two warehouses reportedly used for storing military equipment, two sites containing drone munitions, and a major fuel depot said to be supporting RSF operations in the area. The army described these facilities as important logistical hubs for the paramilitary group.
In the Kordofan region, the army reported even heavier losses for the RSF, stating that 91 combat vehicles were destroyed and dozens of fighters were killed in ongoing engagements. It added that its forces continued to apply pressure on RSF positions, aiming to disrupt their movements and weaken their ability to sustain operations in the region.
The statement comes amid continuing clashes between the Sudanese army and the RSF, as both sides remain locked in a prolonged conflict that has affected several regions of the country and caused widespread insecurity.
