Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Wales international forward Brennan Johnson from Tottenham, strengthening their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.

Crystal Palace confirmed the arrival of Brennan Johnson on Friday, with the forward joining from Tottenham after finding his playing time limited under head coach Thomas Frank.

The club announced that Johnson has signed a contract running until the end of the 2029–30 season. While Palace did not disclose the transfer fee, it is understood to be a club-record deal worth around £35 million.

The 24-year-old will be eligible to make his debut for Palace in Sunday’s Premier League fixture away to Newcastle United.

Johnson enjoyed a prolific campaign last season under former Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou, finishing as Tottenham’s leading scorer with 18 goals in all competitions. His most notable contribution came in the Europa League final, where he scored the decisive goal in a 1–0 victory over Manchester United.

Tottenham signed Johnson from Nottingham Forest in 2023 for a fee in excess of £47 million. However, his role diminished this season following the arrival of Frank, with the forward registering four goals in 22 appearances across all competitions.

At international level, Johnson has scored seven goals in 42 appearances for Wales.

Palace head coach Oliver Glasner welcomed the signing, highlighting Johnson’s qualities and importance to the squad.

“Brennan will give us more options in our attacking play with his pace and goal-scoring ability,” Glasner said. “With a busy schedule ahead, he will be a valuable addition to the squad.”
