Deportivo A Coruña have completed the signing of Barcelona midfielder Marc Casadó on a season-long loan, with the agreement including an option for the Spanish club to make the transfer permanent for €30 million. The move gives the 22-year-old an opportunity to secure regular first-team football after falling down the midfield pecking order at Barcelona.

Deportivo A Coruña have strengthened their midfield with the arrival of Barcelona academy graduate Marc Casadó on loan until June 2027. The newly promoted LaLiga club confirmed the agreement on 1 September, while Barcelona also announced the departure of the midfielder on a temporary basis.

The deal includes a €30 million option to buy at the end of the season, giving Deportivo the opportunity to secure Casadó's services permanently if his campaign in Galicia proves successful. The option is reportedly non-obligatory.

Casadó Chooses Regular Football

A Product Of La Masia

The midfielder has now made 75 appearances for Barcelona's first team, scoring once and providing seven assists. During his time at the club, he won two LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.

Casadó primarily operates as a defensive or central midfielder but can also play at right-back. Deportivo therefore acquire a player capable of providing tactical flexibility while bringing experience of domestic and European football despite his relatively young age.
