Birmingham City Complete Ninth Summer Signing as German Striker Checks In

The Blues have agreed a deal with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen to acquire the 31-year-old striker for a reported fee in the region of £1.75 million.
Ducksch has penned a three-year contract at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park and joins a growing list of summer arrivals, including compatriot Phil Neumann, along with James Beadle, Tommy Doyle, Demarai Gray, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Kyogo Furuhashi, Kanya Fujimoto, and Eiran Cashin.
With 32 Bundesliga goals over the past three seasons, Ducksch brings proven attacking pedigree and will provide strong competition for Jay Stansfield, Kyogo, and Lyndon Dykes in the forward line.
In addition to his goal-scoring prowess, Ducksch has also earned a reputation as a creative force during his spell at Bremen, registering 23 assists to complement his goal tally.
Capped twice by Germany at senior level, this marks Ducksch’s first venture outside his homeland. Throughout his career, he has also represented Borussia Dortmund, Paderborn, St Pauli, Holstein Kiel, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Hannover 96.
