Blake Lively has addressed rumours surrounding her marriage to long-time husband Ryan Reynolds and dismissed speculation about a split.

In response to a comment about divorce rumours beneath a post she made celebrating Reynolds, 47, and his forthcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine, the 36-year-old actress replied with a laughing emoji and a straightforward, “Haha, they wish.”

Despite sharing a heartfelt post about her pride in Reynolds’ work, a fan still commented, suggesting the couple should post more about each other.

“There were rumours going around that you two got divorced and I didn’t believe it because you two are literally the perfect couple,” read the fan's comment.

Shortly afterwards, Lively joined her husband of nearly 12 years at the star-studded premiere of his new film in New York City, where they revealed the name of their fourth child. Lively wore a striking Deadpool-inspired outfit for the occasion.

In her original post praising her husband, Lively included a photo of herself kissing Reynolds, who was dressed in his character’s antihero costume and makeup from Deadpool & Wolverine. She also shared a video in which she showcased her natural beauty, beginning with the line: “Tell me Deadpool is married to a millennial girl in real life without telling me.”

The video featured a montage of scenes from Reynolds’ film, set to music by Avril Lavigne, Celine Dion, and NSYNC. Lively highlighted various references to millennial culture and remarked: “I have never felt more seen.”

The montage included clips from Reynolds’ movie, featuring nods to Harry Potter, Frozen, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, My Little Pony, summer balayage, Judy Blume, and meta humour.

One fan commented: “Only thing missing was a [Gossip Girl] reference.”

“Go see the movie,” Lively responded with a winking face emoji. She then added a lengthy caption dedicated to her husband, expressing how impressed she was by his film, which she described as full of nostalgic references from the noughties.

Despite her own film It Ends With Us set to release shortly after Deadpool & Wolverine, Lively stated she did not feel competitive. Instead, she shared her immense pride in Reynolds, joking that his achievement even overshadowed her own experiences of giving birth to their four children.

On Monday evening, the couple attended the New York City premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine, held just before its theatrical release on 26 July.

The third installment of the Deadpool series sees Wolverine recovering from injuries and crossing paths with the irreverent Deadpool. The film also stars Leslie Uggams, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Matthew Macfadyen, Tyler Mane, Shioli Kutsuna, T.J. Miller, Aaron Stanford, and more. Jennifer Garner, 52, reprises her role as Elektra.

The final movie trailer hinted at a surprise appearance by Lady Deadpool, sparking speculation that the character might be portrayed by Reynolds’ wife or close family friend Taylor Swift.

Lively’s upcoming project is the romantic drama It Ends With Us, based on Colleen Hoover’s novel. Scheduled for release on 9 August, the film follows Lively as Lily Bloom, who faces complications when her high school love interest reappears in her life.
