Warning sirens were sounding once again in Ukraine as the constant reports of air raids and explosions keep coming out of the Ukrainian Capital.

Air Raid sirens continue to go off in Ukraine as Kyiv’s Mayor reported explosions in the Capital and the city’s Military Administrator says Air defenses have downed 30 missiles and drones in the last few hours alone. Across the border in Russia’s Belgorod region the Governor claims Ukraine’s Military has carried out dozens of Artillery and Mortar strikes over the past days and twelve people have been injured but no one was killed.

The Secretary-General has agreed that Ukraine will join the alliance eventually but for now, he says, Kyiv has the right to defend itself. This is all going on amid outrage of the demise of 3 people including a 9-year-old and her Mother, both killed by missile debris as they tried to get into a locked bomb shelter. This overwhelming grief that has struck the Capital over the death of two women and a Child in what is being called an accident is another even that is driving support for Ukraine from NATO, Europe and all around the world.

NATO’s weapons are already in use in Ukraine’s east and now Ukraine has launched a campaign inside Russia’s territory. At least 8 people have been injured and hundreds evacuated from what are now frontline villages in Russia. The original sin of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine compounded as it is by their continued targeting of Civilians and the absolute brutality of their occupation has ceded Ukraine an unassailable position on the moral high-ground, but they have to hold onto that even as they prosecute their own campaigns inside Russian territory.

Anti-Putin Russians in Ukraine’s forces claim to have raided his province a second time and broadcast warnings telling people to stay indoors and that soldiers in the volunteer corps are not at war with civilians. They also claim to have hit Russian ammunition dumps and other military targets but Russia says the Raiders were driven out with heavy casualties. Still Ukraine now holds the initiative on this front as Russia continues to rain misery from the sky.
