Chris Eubank Jr. has put his career in the hands of Ben Shalom and Boxxer, and the Brighton man is eager to face Canelo Álvarez.

Eubank Jr. is one of British boxing’s biggest stars and he’s looking to secure his first fight since levelling a two-fight series against Liam Smith last year.

One name Eubank Jr. has constantly pursued is Canelo Álvarez, and he’s confident he could have success against the Mexican icon.

Canelo is currently linked to numerous opponents including Terence Crawford and Edgar Berlanga, but Eubank Jr. is very much amongst the chasing pack.

"It's a fight I think I could win,” said Eubank Jr. when speaking about Canelo with BBC Sport after signing his new deal with Boxxer.

“The fans want to see Canelo in with guys who are going to press him, who are not going to back down, who are not going to shy away and crumble under the pressure. The fight fans know that’s the type of fighter I am."
