Ringo Starr and The Strokes' Nick Valensi collaborated on a four-track EP titled "Crooked Boy," which was initially released exclusively on vinyl for Record Store Day. This limited-edition release aimed to celebrate and support independent record stores, offering fans a unique opportunity to experience the musical collaboration between these two iconic artists.

Ringo Starr's collaborative EP with The Strokes' guitarist Nick Valensi, titled 'Crooked Boy', is now available for streaming following its initial release as an exclusive vinyl for Record Store Day.

The four-track EP features songs co-written with Linda Perry, with whom Starr had previously collaborated on tracks like 'Coming Undone' and 'Everyone And Everything'.

Starr expressed his enthusiasm for the EP, particularly highlighting the track 'Gonna Need Someone' as a standout rocker co-written by Linda Perry. Nick Valensi's guitar work is featured prominently throughout the EP.

Accompanying the release of 'Crooked Boy' is the music video for 'Gonna Need Someone', directed by Johann Rashid.

In addition to this release, Starr hinted at more new music to come, revealing his exploration into writing country music. He mentioned plans for a full-length album rather than an EP, aiming for ten tracks—a format he hasn't pursued in a while.

Meanwhile, Starr recently shared his perspective on the upcoming re-release of the documentary 'Let It Be'. He praised director Peter Jackson's work on the restored version of the film, which showcases previously unseen footage of The Beatles during the recording of their final studio album.

Starr acknowledged that while the documentary doesn't bring him much joy personally, he appreciates the effort put into uncovering and presenting the unused tape footage. He highlighted the excitement of reliving iconic moments like The Beatles' rooftop performance.
