US president Joe Biden has said for the first time publicly that Russia is committing a genocidal war in Ukraine, after Putin's forces invaded in late February.
Biden stood by
his anti-Putin comments and in a speech stated “Vladimir Putin is
wiping out the idea of being Ukrainian”.
However, it is
up to the US Supreme Court to officially say if the United States
calls the war in Ukraine a “Genocide”.
Biden has also
called out Vladimir Putin over war crimes committed in Mariupol,
Bucha, and Kramatorsk.
The Kremlin denies committing genocide and perpetrating war crimes.
