US president Joe Biden gave a presidential announcement to the whole world yesterday, confirming that over 1 Million people have died from Covid-19 in the United States.
The
United States now holds the highest number of verified Covid-19
deaths in the world, according to the World Health Organisation
(WHO).
The
first reported case of Covid-19 in the US was on January 20th
2020 in Seattle, Washington State, after a tourist coming back from
Wuhan in China tested positive.
The
WHO and the US government surmise that this is due to 6 reasons:
1:
America's high obesity rate.
2:
The large number of Americans with Hypertension.
3:
Overworked and Understaffed private hospitals.
4:
Vaccine Hesitancy during early and mid 2021.
5:
America's large number of elderly citizens.
6: A
majority of Americans living in large metropolises like NYC and San
Francisco.
Of
the 50 states in the Union, California has the most with 90,000 confirmed Covid-29 deaths in the Golden State and counting.
