Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi have both been handed touchline bans and will not be present on the sidelines for Napoli and Inter’s decisive Serie A fixtures next week, which will determine the 2024–25 Scudetto.
Banned Conte and Inzaghi to Miss Napoli and Inter’s Serie A Title Deciders

Both managers were dismissed during Sunday’s Round 37 encounters, leaving their respective sides to face the final matches of the season without their leadership from the dugout.
Conte was shown a red card during Napoli’s goalless draw away to Parma, while Inzaghi suffered the same fate in Inter’s 2–2 draw with Lazio at San Siro.
According to reports by Gianluca Di Marzio, the incident involving Conte unfolded at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, where he clashed with several Parma players seated on the bench. As a result, both Conte and Parma coach Christian Chivu were dismissed by the referee.
“It’s frustrating, because you work all season for a decisive match,” Conte said post-match.
“I have complete faith in my staff and, above all, in the crowd at the Stadio Maradona. What annoyed me today was Parma’s continuous time-wasting. I’m used to English football, where the game flows more and there are fewer interruptions for cramps, feigned injuries and such antics. That’s what irritated me and led to my dismissal.”
A similar scenario occurred at the San Siro, where Inzaghi reacted furiously after Lecce manager Marco Baroni appealed for a VAR review following a suspected handball by Yann Bisseck in the 88th minute.
Inzaghi was shown a straight red card, and the referee subsequently awarded Lazio a penalty, which was successfully converted by Pedro.
Napoli are scheduled to host Cagliari at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in the final round of the season, while Inter travel to face Como. Both matches are expected to play a decisive role in the outcome of the Serie A title race.
Serie A officials are set to confirm the dates and kick-off times for the final round of fixtures in the coming hours.
