Hours After The Kenyan Government Declared A Large Crackdown On Sim Cards Safaricom Has Made A Big Announcement

Kenya's leading telecommunication company Safaricom has dropped a crucial announcement on its official Facebook page regarding the disconnection of unregistered Sim cards.

The mobile service provider has notified customers that in deed all unregistered sim cards will be switched off by the Communication Authority of Kenya, calling upon customers whose Sim cards registration details were not updated to do so in the quickest time possible.

The mobile network operator cited visiting the nearest Safaricom shop, agent or dealer with your ID as the pivotal manoeuvre ways to follow in a quest to have your Sim cards registration details fully updated.

"Have you updated your SIM registration details as required by the Communication Authority? If not, visit the nearest Safaricom shop, Agent or dealer with your ID today. Failure to get your SIM details updated will get your line disconnected," Safaricom stated.

Safaricom sentiments come just a few hours after the government through the CA of Kenya announced a disconnection of unregistered sim cards in a move to enforce the imminent Sim Card Registration Regulations (2015).

The government set aside April 15th, 2022 as the D-Day of the mega disconnection of sim cards.
