Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, German chancellor Olaf Scholz, and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier met in Kiev to discuss the EU's plans to impose futher sanctions on Russia.

The visit comes as the EU and Germany especially, have started to cut their dependence on Russian oil and gas.

They're mostly doing this by relying on the US for oil and gas instead, but are also investing into green energy and synthetic production of oil and gas.
