KNUT's declaration is a backset for Sossion who is also banking on teachers support to clinch the UDA party ticket.

ODM party nominated Member of Parliament and former secretary general of the Kenya National Union of Teachers is facing fresh trouble in his bid to become Bomet county senator after his dispute with the Teachers body spilled over to politics.

The body through it's national leaders and local Bomet branch managers has unanimously thrown it's weight behind a city lawyer, Mr. Hillary Sugei who is Sossion's biggest challenger for the United Democratic party ticket

KNUT national vice Chairperson Mr. Stanley Mutai, Bomet KNUT branch executive secretary Malel Langat and his Sotik counterpart Mathias Langat have all declared support of the city lawyer saying he is best placed to Bomet to the desired destination.

Speaking to the media, KNUT vice Chairperson Stanley Mutai urged residents to support Mr. Sigei who is also a close ally of the deputy president William Ruto.

Mr. Mutai accused Sossion of bringing down a teacher's body that was KES 147M cash strong to a mere KES 13M weak at the time of his exit from the body. "It is in his hands that the teachers defender went to it's knees. How will he manage the entire county," asked Stanley.
