American rap and hip-hop artist Jeffery Williams aka Young Thug, has been arrested on charges of being apart of a gang and taking part in gang wars.
The
30 year old artist along with fellow rapper Gunna and 28 members of
YSL, a record label known to be connected to the LA based
street-gang, The Bloods.
Many
compare YSL to Death Row Records, the infamous Gangsta Rap label
owned by Suge Knight and Dr Dre during the 1990's, who were also associated
with The Bloods.

Williams is known for several hit singles such as Punk, Go Crazy, and
City Girls.
He
also co-wrote the 2018 political commentary single This Is America
for Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino, quickly becoming number one
on the US Billboard Hot 100 in May.
However,
both Jeremy Williams and Donald Golver are being sued for plagiarism
and copyright infringement by artist Emelike Nwosuocha aka Kid Wes,
who claims it copied his 2016 single Made In America.
Mr
Williams is being held in Fulton County Jail and he is due to appear
in court Tuesday.
