A group of students attending Madison Consolidated High School in the US state of Indiana will preform a musical/play based on the hit comedy/war drama sitcom M*A*S*H.
The
show which ran from 1972-1983 is set during the Korean War which lasted from 1950-1953, it has re-surged in popularity amid
lock-down and the war in Ukraine.
Alan
Alda, who played Hawkeye Pierce on the show, gave a letter to the
school stating: “I thank you so much for deciding to base your new theatre show on my old TV show, I hope it all goes well”.
The
musical/play will be played at Opal E. Sherman Auditorium and Theatre,
where family, friends, and locals can watch the students preform.
Rumored to be in attendance for the musical play today is Alan Alda himself
possibly along with other surviving cast members, such as Gary
Burghoff (Who played the shy Radar O'Reilly), Loretta Swit (Who
played the seductive Margaret Houlihan), Jamie Farr (Who played the
insane Maxwell Klingler), Mike Farrell (Who plays Hawkeye's second
fiddle B.J. Hunnicutt after 1975), and possibly more of the good old 4077 M*A*S*H Unit could be in attendance.
