The iconic British rock band Roxy Music have announced a 50th anniversary tour in the fall of this year to celebrate half a decade of Roxy Music, says lead singer Brian Ferry.
The band known
for hits such as Slave To Love, The In Crowd, and More than This had
previously broken up four times:
The first time the band disbanded
was in 1973 when the original keyboardist, Brian Eno, left the group.
The second time
was in 1976 when Brian Ferry announced that he was leaving the group,
later reassembling the original line up (Minus Brian Eno) in 1978.
The third time
they disbanded was in 1983, though why exactly differs from member to
member.
The core line up
of Roxy Music reunited in 2001, and they did tours in the UK, not
doing a US tour since 2003, that iteration broke up in 2011.
The 2022 tour will coincide with the 50th anniversary of their debut self titled album from 1972, along with their one hit wonders from the 70's and 80's.
