The Popular And Controversial Reality Game Show Was Previously Axed By Channel 4 And Channel 5 Due To Several Incidents On Set Of The Program

One of the UK's most popular and controversial reality game shows Big Brother has been given the green light for a new series by ITV, and is rumored to be hosted by former host of Big Brother's Bit On The Side, Rylan Clark-Neal.

The new series of Big Brother, slated to air next year, was teased during an ad break following Love Island's series finale last night.

Inspired by the concepts laid out in George Orwell's 1949 dystopian classic 1984, the show will see several contestants live under consent supervision by the show runners and viewers at home.

With the public being able to eliminate contestants and choose who wins a cash prize, over the course of six weeks.

The show first aired following the turn of the century, debuting on Channel 4 in 2000.

In 2018, following years of allegations concerning bullying, racism, vote fixing, and fights between contestants it was pulled from the air by Channel 5 who started broadcasting Big Brother in 2011, due to a schedule change on Channel 4.

The ITV version of Big Brother is slated to also be a commentary on domestic spying and the Covid-19 lockdown which trapped millions across the world in there homes for nearly two years.
