The Now Former Chancellor Of The Exchequer Stated That The Reason For His Departure Was Due To: "Personal Tensions Between Myself And The Prime Minister".

Rishi Sunak, one of the most loyal members of Boris Johnson's inner circle, has resigned from his post as Chancellor of the Exchequer after months of economic debates between Rishi and the Prime Minister failed to resolve the cost of living crisis gripping the nation.

The now former Chancellor of the Exchequer gave his reasons for tendering his resignation to the position he held for two years, stating: “Boris Johnson continues to insist that we should beat around the bush concerning the cost of living crisis, instead of my plan to be up front and honest with the British people about how we're doomed do enter a 70's style recession.

The Prime Minister will not see to reason, which has left me with no other choice but to throw in the towel and vacate my station”.

Sunak's resignation announcement comes only days after Chris Pincher resigned from being Deputy Chief Whip, after Mr Pincher got drunk and groped two men in a members only club.

Number 10 announced just this morning that the Education Secretary, Nadhim Zahawi, will be replacing Rishi Sunak as the new Chancellor of the Exchequer.
