Doctors and medical experts are baffled by the increase in children being diagnosed with Hepatitis.
Hepatitis
is a type of viral infection that causes inflammation to the liver,
there are 5 main types of Hepatitis ranging from A-E.
None
of the known types of Hepatitis were found in the children, leaving
some to speculate that an F variant has surfaced.
Some
types of Hepatitis can go away after a while with little to no
medication, whilst more serious cases require hospital treatment or
liver transplants.
Countries
across Europe and the Americas have noted the rise of children under the age of 16 being diagnosed with Hepatitis, and a small increase among
teenagers too.
In
the UK alone, 74 children have been diagnosed with Hepatitis.
