Karl Nehammer, Austria's chancellor, is set to have a meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin.
The first face to face meeting between the Kremlin and an EU leader since Emmanuel Macron's visit before Putin invaded Ukraine a month ago.
This meeting comes as war crimes have been committed by Russia and a freshened up Eastern Offensive goes underway.
Nehammer stated that: “Austria has a clear position on the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, we want humanitarian corridors to be open and for them to be respected”.
Austria's chancellor had met Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev on Saturday, the same day the UK and US announced that more military aid would be sent to Ukraine.
