A Russian SU-35 has been downed by Ukrainian armed forces.

Since the start of the war at least 20 Russian jets and an untold amount of helicopters have been shot down.

Locals and armed forces personal have shared on social media videos and photos of the downed Russian jet, the plane was shot down by an anti-air missile over Kharkiv.

The SU-35, a state of the art Russian fighter jet worth $50 Million (£30 Million), was reduced to scrap metal.

The pilot survived, but was later captured.
