A British Member Of The Ukrainian Foreign Legion Is Among Ukrainian POWs Held By Russia

28 year old Aiden “Johnny” Aslin of Newark Nottinghamshire, was one of the many servicemen fighting off Russian forces in Mariupol before he was captured.

The Brit joined the Ukrainian Foreign Legion (UFL) when he wanted to do something about the invasion, he used to be a care worker in Newark said family.

Aslin hopes that he is part of a future prisoner exchange after he was captured as a result of low supplies inhibiting his ability to fight.

As of Monday he is confirmed to still be alive, and is held in a POW camp near the Donetsk Peoples Republic (DPR) one of the two breakaway regions in Eastern Ukraine.
