1,000 Covid Victims From Nottingham Are To Be Remembered

Tributes were given to 1,000 Nottingham City locals who've died of Covid since March 2020.

The memorial organised by the Nottingham City Council (NCC), comes as the total number of Covid deaths in the city reached 1,000.

The event too place on April 2nd, the memorial included a minutes silence and speeches from local government and NHS officials.

The Nottingham City Covid Memorial Tree was planted at the Nottingham Forest Recreation Ground, the location of one of Nottingham City's Covid vaccination sites.

In February before Russia invaded Ukraine, the Prime Minister Boris Johnson ended all remaining Covid restrictions, alarming local NHS bosses and doctors.
