Many Britons Are Canceling Their Streaming Subscriptions To Save On Bills Amid Cost Of Living Crisis

The research firm Kantar has found that a total of 1.51 Million streaming subscriptions were cancelled during the first 3 months of 2022, due to the cost of living crisis.

Many in surveys have said that their reasons for canning their subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, and/or Disney Plus was due to it being too expensive to maintain with gas and fuel prices rising.

Kantar found in a previous survey that after the lock-downs began in March of 2020, 58% of the British population had newly registered to at least one streaming service.

Those who retained home video formats: Betamax, VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray, and Laser Disc aren't among those affected by this sudden loss in home entertainment.
