HSBC Announces 69 Banks Across the UK Will Close

The banking conglomerate HSBC has announced that it will be shuttering 69 locations across the UK as it shifts to online services due to the pandemic and changing trends, resulting in 400 jobs being put in jeopardy.

Head of HSBC UK's branch network, Jackie Uhi, says that: “The way people are banking is changing, and though before the pandemic this was going inch by inch, now it's going mile by mile”.
