When Raila Odinga And President Uhuru Kenyatta Shook Hands And Produced The 'Building Bridges Initiative' (BBI) Report

The famous handshake gave birth to the Building Bridges Initiative BBI, a drive that Uhuru and Raila wanted to use to unify the nation and bring inclusivity in the top level of government.

This was however received with a hostile reception as a section allied to DP Ruto.

This push and pull ended up in a court battle that started from the High Court, then the Court of Appeal before Finally landing at the Supreme Court.

In the apex court, the proponents argued that the lower court did not do them justice and their ruling was unjustified and that they whole ruling should be overturned all together.

With the submission from both parties already done a couple if months ago, the supreme court is set to make a ruling on Thursday the 31st April 2022.

Following that announcement, a section of DP Ruto's allied legislators have started to express different opinion on why their counterpart in Azimio la Umoja are celebrating the ruling even before it could be made public.

Led by Nairobi Women Rep aspirant Millicent Omanga and Elgeyio Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, the leaders have questioned whether the verdict of the BBI is already known or not.

"Some people have already started celebrating BBI judgement set for Thursday 31st March, 2022. Do they know something we don't know?" Posted Millicent Omanga.

"How come many of our pro BBI friends are celebrating the Supreme Court Judgement in advance ? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ @ahmednasirlaw @MarthaKarua @DavidNdii @JerotichSeii @WehliyeMohamed @makaumutua" posed Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
