Officials at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) are working round the clock to clear and remove a plane that managed to get stuck on the runway.
Sources indicate that the plane malfunctioned before take-off, delaying flights at the ever busy Kenyan Airport.
This dramatic turn of events came just days after a Kenyan female pilot managed to land a heavy jumbo jet in London where the runway was seriously flooded.
The meteorological department had previously warned Kenyans of some heavy rain across the country.
It is not yet clear what caused the plane to stall on the busy runway however, more details are expected to follow-up as the story unfolds.
Kenyans have also been urged to avoid areas that could experience landslides, after the shocking death of two workers in Mumias.
